The standard period of studies for the degree program “Bachelor of Science in Media Informatics” at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences is six semesters. Diverse and varied subjects will be taught in an interactive manner, with maximum practical validation of the content. The essence of the course is the creation, transmission, storage, processing and presentation of digital media, so the relevant informatics specifics will be learned, through mathematics, algorithms and programming. Networking is also an inseparable part of the curriculum, both in technical and in social, or professional terms. Specific purpose scientific English is also taught, and as the degree advances, the development of a software module in a team project work is introduced, guided by postgraduate students at the university.
