The postgraduate program “Master of Science in Media Informatics” is available at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences. It deals with audio, video, informational visualization, 3D modeling, or mobile internet – all the possible applications of the specific scientific knowledge gained in a period of four to six semesters, if done part-time. Professional qualification to a higher level, as well as personal growth and improvement, are aimed at through the comprehensive studies offered at HTWK. This is left largely to the individual choice of each student, so there are more elective than compulsory courses. The faculties of Economics and Computer Science of the University of Leipzig also cooperate in the delivery of the content and bestow their well-equipped laboratories for this purpose. How to generate, transmit, process and present digital media will be learned together with hardware and software notions, and communication theory findings. Study abroad is also advisable and available in the program.
