The study program “Bachelor of Engineering in Multimedia Technology” Leipzig University of Applied Sciences provides a seven-semester accredited course with a practice period in the fifth semester. The communication science modules are combined with digital media technology and audiovisual media skills. Awakening creative thinking is also a purpose in the course of studies, since it contributes to the unique content and presentation modes that media production and development entail. Some of the subjects are mathematics, physics, IT, audio and video technology, and design. Elective subjects both intensify and personalize the studies. An internship in the fifth semester gives a realistic view of the application of the accumulated knowledge, and a thesis has to be completed in the seventh one, to terminate the cycle of studies.
