The “Master of Engineergin in Printing and Packaging Technology” at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences is a three-semester course with an academic load of 90ECTS. First professional university degree in the field is a prerequisite for admission. The indusatrial manufacture of printed products and packaging is the focus of the course. It builds uupon the existing knowledge from the undergraduate degree, and intensifies the studies in sciences – mathematics, physics, modelling, surfaces, interfaces, laser technology, statistical test planning. There is also a practice period and project work planned, directed at applying the theoretical notions in real-life settings. The course relies very much on the support of subject-specific knowledge from other disciplines to complete the methodological toolkit students will need after graduation. Besides printing and packaging manufacturers, positions will be open for graduates in research and development organizations, as well.
