The continuing education program “Diploma of Advanced Studies in Church Music” at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts has a length of four semesters. The program aims to qualify students in the areas of choral conducting or organ. The syllabus contains Choir conducting, Conducting seminars, Score playing, Singing/voice training, Theological foundations, Hymnology, Latin liturgical chant, German liturgical chant and other subjects. To submit, applicants must have a musical qualification and pass an admission interview and musical aptitude test. Graduates receive a Diploma of Advanced Studies Hochschule Luzern/FHZ in “Church Music”.
