The study course “Certificate of Advanced Studies in Self-consumption Optimization” at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts has length of five months. The goal of the course is to teach students how to allocate their energy to the right user at the right time. The syllabus consists of Basics of solar construction, System building blocks - technologies, consumer, the system builds, modelling and simulation, MSR: Measurement, control, regulation of energy flows/energies, Self-consumption optimization, and Presentation and criticism of the module work in the plenum. The program is designed for energy consultants, architects, planners and installers of heating and photovoltaic systems. To submit, applicants must have a university of applied sciences or higher technical college and two years of professional experience.
