The study program “Master of Arts in Social Work” at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts comprises four semesters. The training aims to prepare students for responsible strategic and conceptual tasks in the non-profit and administrative sectors. Students gain broad theoretical and practical knowledge and develop social, analyzing, strategic and problem-solving skills. To apply, students must have a bachelor's degree in social work or an equivalent degree. Graduates find employment in schools, hospitals, mental health agencies, administration, childcare, criminal justice, counselling, foster care, medical healthcare and community care.
