The study course “Bachelor of Arts in Video” at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts runs over six semesters. The training aims to introduce students to the central aspects of film production. The syllabus contains Introduction Theory and Context VD, Specialist theory 2 VD: film analysis, Specialist theory 3 VD / Introduction to scientific writing, and concludes with Bachelor's thesis. To apply, candidates must have a federally recognized or equivalent high school diploma and one year of prerequisite design coursework. Graduates begin careers as a publisher, advertising director, marketing executive, broadcaster, director, editor, distributor, scriptwriter, film journalist, film producer and more.
