The “Master of Arts in Social Work” program at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences has a length of 3 semesters. The course aims to deepen students’ scientific and leadership skills in addition to the ability to behave self-reflective in the field of work. Empirical social research, Science of social work in theory and practice, Legal foundations and international social policy, Conflict management and other subjects are part of the course curriculum. A completed Bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite for admission. Graduates are able to work in the fields of child and youth work, educational and family support, community work and more.
