Agricultural Engineering is a subfield of Agricultural Sciences concerned with the design, development and use of technological equipment in order to aid and improve farming. Agricultural engineers work to integrate technology in farming and make it more efficient, as well as find sustainable solutions for pollution, design new equipment and better the working conditions. Students are taught how to plan, manage and supervise the building of new machinery and structures, manage waste, interpret research results, implement practices, increase farming efficiency and manage resources. Agricultural Engineering is a challenging but rewarding field which has grown over the past decade and provided many new aspects and career opportunities for students. Experts are in high demand and the ability to adapt and work in difficult conditions is valuable. Graduates have a variety of jobs to choose from, most of which are very rewarding. Agricultural consultant, machine operator, constructor, manufacturer, educator, researcher, developer, installation or product supervisor are just a few of the many examples.
