The study course “Bachelor of Arts in Archaelogy” with 120 CP at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg is six semesters long. The program aims to introduce students to the fundamentals of archaeology. The curriculum consists of compulsory modules, elective practice, elective area of specialization, general key qualifications, and a final module. Students learn to deal and evaluate archaeological finds, findings and monuments from a wide variety of regions and times. To apply, candidates must have a recognized higher education entrance qualification. Graduates start careers in the preservation of archaeological monuments, museums, publishing houses, media institutions and tourism.
