The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg offers a six-semester program "Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology" with 60 CP. The training consists of four sub-disciplines: Prehistoric Archaeology, Oriental Archaeology, Classic Archaeology, and Medieval and modern archeology. Over the course students are focused on dealing and evaluating archaeological finds, findings and monuments from a wide variety of regions and times. The curriculum includes compulsory modules, elective area basic area, and elective area of specialization. Admission to training is a recognized higher education entrance qualification. Graduates pursue career opportunities in the preservation of archaeological monuments, museums, publishing houses, media institutions and tourism.
