The “Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics” program at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg has a length of six semesters. The goal of the course is to introduce students to the fundamentals of bioinformatics. It covers the fields of computer science, mathematics, biology, biochemistry and chemistry and their connection with bioinformatic methods. Students study subjects such as Basics of bioinformatics, Introduction to Databases, Data Structures and Efficient Algorithms, software engineering, and Algorithms on Sequences. To submit, applicants must have a recognized higher education entrance qualification. Graduates have a wide range of excellent career prospects in bioinformatics.
