Description
The 45/74 CP "Master of Arts in Classical Archaeology" course at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg has a length of four semesters. The program aims to teach students to work on archaeological research contexts and to analyze and evaluate them using contemporary research methods. Students study Archaeological collections in theory and practice, Critical reading of archaeological literature, Ancient sculptures and their medial functions, Archaeological evidence in their cultural-historical contexts, Ancient architecture and topography, field trip, and a master's thesis. To apply, candidates must present a first professional university degree in an archaeological or classical studies-oriented course and a B2 level in English. Graduates pursue careers in university and non-university teaching and research institutions.
