The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg offers the four-semester “Master of Arts in Ethnology / Social and Cultural Anthropology" program with a 120 CP. The master’s degree aims to equip students with subject-specific and generalizable abilities in the research and analysis of modern societies and cultures. Throughout the training, students develop the skills to deal with ethnological questions, approaches and working methods. Candidates must have a first professional university degree with at least 60 credits in the field of ethnology or a related subject as well as a B2 level in English in order to apply. Graduates find employment opportunities in Science and Research, public and private cultural institutions, media, institutions, companies and organizations in the fields of politics, business and law, and many more.
