The “Bachelor of Science in Evidence-Based Nursing” program at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg has a duration of eight semesters. It combines university studies with a professional qualification as a nursing specialist. Students acquire broad theoretical and practical knowledge and learn to analyze complex care-related health problems. The curriculum includes Medical Basics, Basics of Nursing, Nursing Practice, Nursing in the context of medical diagnostics and therapy, Nursing and multi-professional team, Methods of assessment and diagnostics and other modules. To apply, prospective students must have a recognized higher education entrance qualification. Graduates can do different activities such as technical and organizational responsibility for nursing teams and prepare for the task as a nursing expert.
