The "Master of Arts in German Literature and Culture" program at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg has a duration of four semesters. The goal of the course is to impart insights into current research problems in literary and cultural studies from the perspective of German-language literature. The discipline is can be combined with Arabic studies, English language and culture, Ethnology / Social and Cultural Anthropology and many more options. To apply, candidates must have a first professional university degree in German language and literature or in the fields of literature or cultural studies, as well as proficiency in two modern foreign languages at level B2. Graduates find employment in publishing and media, educational and cultural institutions, public relations and personnel development.
