The “Bachelor of Arts in History” program with 120 CP at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg has a length of six semesters. The bachelor’s degree aims to provide students with basic knowledge and practice of the most important sources, problems and methodological approaches from antiquity to modern times as well as advanced knowledge of pre-modern and modern times. Students must have 180 credit points in total, so they must combine it with a 60 LP partial bachelor’s course. To apply, prospective students must have a recognized higher education entrance qualification. Graduates find employment in state and social institutions, political parties, clubs and associations, publishing houses, museums, and adult education institutions.
