At the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, the "Bachelor of Arts in History" program with 90 LP lasts six semesters. The goal of the course is to impart a basic knowledge of the most important sources, problems and methodological approaches from antiquity to modern times as well as advanced knowledge of pre-modern and modern times. The syllabus contains modules of the subject, general key qualifications, internship and possibly final module a bachelor's thesis. Graduates start careers in state and social institutions, political parties, clubs and associations, publishing houses, museums, and adult education institutions.
