The 45/74 CP program "Master of Arts in Japanese Studies" at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg has a length of four semesters. The goal of the course is to focus students on history and culture, society and politics of Japan in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. The syllabus contains Advanced Japanese course, History and culture of Japan, society of Japan, politics of Japan, Research and colloquia module, and concludes with a master's degree. To apply, candidates must have a degree in a Japanese studies course or a comparable subject and a B1 level in Japanese language. Graduates find employment in science, trade, banks, tourism, management consulting, political consulting, international relations, education, administration, and media.
