The dual program “Bachelor of Science in Midwifery” at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg is eight semesters long. The course aims to impart the knowledge and competencies in the science-based planning, organization, implementation, control and evaluation of highly complex care processes, taking into account cost-effectiveness, effectiveness, quality, health promotion and prevention. The training combines an academic part at the Martin Luther University and a practical part at the University Hospital Halle or the University Hospital Magdeburg. To apply, candidates must have a recognized higher education entrance qualification and a pre-study internship. Graduates are highly qualified to work for the midwifery profession.
