The 60 CP "Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy" program at Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg lasts six semesters. The course aims to introduce students to the fundamentals of philosophy. Over the training participants acquire broad theoretical knowledge and develop problem-analytical, interpretation and argumentation skills. Two partial courses must be combined by students in order for their bachelor's degree to have 120 CP. To apply, candidates must have a recognized higher education entrance qualification. Graduates find employment opportunities in media, publishing, adult education and the private sector.
