The doctorate “Applied Geosciences” is a 6-semester long program taught in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Master’s degree offered at Leoben University of Mining. Throughout their studies, participants will receive extensive theoretical and practical training. The curriculum consists of advanced courses in Natural Sciences, Earth Sciences, Geophysics, Petroleum Geology, Depositology, and more. Additionally, students can choose from a plethora of elective modules and diversify their education. The program is research-oriented and aims to provide participants with the social, methodological, and analytical skills needed to carry out scientific work independently.
