Description
The doctoral degree “Metallurgy” is a German-taught program with a duration of 6 semesters. It builds on the corresponding Master’s degree offered at Leoben University of Mining. The curriculum consists of multifaceted courses with a focus on Materials Technology, Materials Engineering, Iron & Steel Metallurgy, Non-Ferrous Metallurgy, Energy and Environmental Technology, and more. Additionally, participants can personalise their studies by taking up elective modules. Through various case studies and application-oriented seminars, students will gain hands-on experience and professional core competencies. Also, the program promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork and communication, project management, moderation, and more. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to build a career as metallurgists.
