The doctorate degree “Petroleum Engineering” is a 6-semester long program taught in English. It builds on the corresponding Master’s degree offered at Leoben University. The curriculum includes advanced courses in Geosciences, Reservoir Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Production Engineering, Geothermal Engineering, and more. Also, students can personalise their education by taking up elective modules. The program is research-oriented and aims to provide participants with social, methodological, and analytical skills needed to carry out scientific work on their own. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to assume top-tier positions in  the alternative energy industry, pipeline and plant construction, research and development, etc.
