The part-time academic vocational program “Book Design” at New Design University consists of two semesters. The purpose of the course is to turn students into academic book designers. Students acquire abilities like conceptional thinking and designing, typography, project management competence, editing, production, media aesthetics and economic skills. Furthermore, students will learn from a team of renowned, award-winning book designers and from guest lecturers from various fields such as design, publication and photography. Graduates become experts in the publishing industries and could enter any of them or become independent book designer. Students eligible for this course need to be graphic designers, typographic designers, university and college or high school of visual communication, illustration, students from the WIFI Werbeakademie, professionals in printing and publishing, enthusiasts of Book Design, Journalism, Marketing, Architecture, Art history and Cultural management.
