The three-year diploma degree program “Diplom Finanzwirtin / Diplom Finanzwirt” offered by the North German Academy of Finance and Tax Law Hamburg is a dual course of study, consisted of theoretical phases at the North German Academy and practical ones in tax offices. All tax administration finance applicants from Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the Free Hanseatic city of Bremen, and the State of Mecklenburg – Western Pomerania are authorized to study. Candidates that are part of this course of study are consequently students and civil servants at the same time. The curriculum is designed in a way that students are provided with a fully preparation for the tasks of career group 2. The program is very practice and application-oriented. Participants gain a comprehensive knowledge of economic, business, as well as essential social skills, needed for professional qualification. The phases of practice are fulfilled in the tax offices of the one`s own state.
