Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences, through its Faculty for Agriculture, Economics and Management, provides the degree program “Bachelor of Science in Agriculture”. It is a seven-semester, practice-oriented course. The curriculum is organized into increasing in complexity subject matter, basic, elective and advanced, incorporating knowledge from the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, husbandry, plant production, agricultural engineering, economics, marketing and social sciences. Numerous professions can be done after graduation in sectors with increasing importance: farming, animal breeding and plant cultivation for private or public companies, as well as consultancies, in environmental, regional, trade or service institutions, as well as in research institutes. An opportunity for a trial course could give an idea of the content and the delivery mode. Company practice and university teachings are combined in a dual study, in a joint design between HfWU Nürtingen and the MLR Stuttgart.
