Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences offers the “Bachelor of Engineering in Urban Planning”. The studies are meant to be fulfilled in a period of seven semesters, scheduled in the following way: two for basic studies, and two for advanced modules, one for an internship, more advanced studies, and one for a thesis. The task of an urban designer is to reconcile the needs and the demands of people, environment, and natural resources and landscape. Successfully completing the studies will mean direct access to planning, public industries, real estate industry, research and economic development companies. A lot of support is given throughout the course for individual, independent development, supervision and help from peers.
