If planning to breed or grow and use horses for sport, the “Bachelor of Science in Equine Industry” at Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Science is the right choice. The Competence Center for Horse Breeding and Keeping in Marbach, the Main and State Stud Marbach, and the Fink Planning Office in Aufkirchen, are partners in this study program. They guarantee the updating of the program content with the most current requirements for industry and business, and provide the first-hand practical application experience of the science imparted. Small groups work on projects in close cooperation among each other and the academic staff, with the support of the business representatives, who also take up some of the lectures in the curriculum. This continues for seven semesters, one of which is practical. Everything concerning horses – breeding, nutrition, agricultural topics, plants and biology, mathematics, physics and the relevant natural science content, match the economic and management disciplines, together with the interdisciplinary methodology competence.
