The “Bachelor of Science in Home Economics and Nutritional Sciences” program at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 6 semesters. Students have the opportunity to gain insight both into various production stages along the food chain (from primary production to the end consumer) and into consumer behavior. Apart from the general admission requirements, candidates must have completed vocational training to become a housekeeper or comparable training, or a subject-specific internship of at least 12 weeks full-time with a focus on housekeeping. Graduates can work in a variety of fields, including initial and continuing education, budget and debt advice, energy and environmental advice, nutritional information and advice, public relations and journalism, product development, product information and advice and more.
