The “Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering” program at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 6 full-time semesters. The aim of the course is to help students acquire knowledge and skills with regard to the properties and possible applications of the basic material groups - metals, ceramics and polymers. In addition to professional skills, methods for problem solving and application as well as in-depth methodological-analytical knowledge are imparted in internships. Basics of mathematics, Basics of materials technology, Orientation and Methods, Applied Mathematics, Physics for materials engineering, Strength theory, Basics of manufacturing technology, Basics of electrical engineering and measurement technology and other subjects are part of the curriculum. Admission requirements include a general university entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification or previous education recognized as equivalent, and basic knowledge of English.
