The “Bachelor of Arts in Music Education – Jazz” program at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences deals with the diverse musical culture of jazz, the melting pot of contemporary music culture. Over the course of 8 full-time semesters, students benefit from training in the development of a stylistic range and a creative individual style. The main jazz lessons, the jazz theory / arrangement / ear training seminars and the work in an ensemble work together in an interdisciplinary manner. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must present a general university entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification or previous education recognized as equivalent, and pass an aptitude procedure.
