The “Bachelor of Engineering in Open Space Planning” program at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 6 full-time semesters. During the course, students learn the basics for the design and planning of gardens, parks, squares, play areas, recreational areas, sports, residential and commercial facilities, cemeteries, cycling and hiking trails. Students also gain practical and theoretical knowledge in the aesthetic-design, social-cultural, planning-legal, functional-technical, ecological and economic context. Admission requirements include a general university entrance qualification, subject-related higher education entrance qualification or previous education recognized as equivalent, and are restricted by NC. Graduates typically work in planning of offices in the field of landscape architecture, gardening and landscaping companies, education, research, advice, and more.
