The “Master of Arts in Taxation” program at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 3 full-time semesters. The course focuses on the areas that are also the subject of the tax advisor examination, taking into account theoretical principles and practical aspects. In addition to the development of function-related specialist competencies, the development of cross-functional personal competencies and the critical attitude are trained. Students are taught subjects like Income tax law: Partnerships, Accounting: Commercial and tax accounting law / policy, Traffic tax law: sales tax / customs duties, International corporate taxation, Scientific work / presentation, Conversion: conversion tax law / real estate transfer tax, Combating abuse in tax law / criminal tax law and more. Admission requirements include a completed professional university degree, and qualified, practical work experience, usually of at least one year, in the professional field of tax law or auditing.
