The “Bachelor of Arts in Theater Pedagogy” program at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is with a length of full-time 7 semesters which also include an internship. The aim of the course is to train theater pedagogues who are able to use the medium of theater in all of its forms and modes of action at the various places where people work, learn and play. Ensemble formation and choral forms of performance, Biographical theater, Propaedeutic theater education, Body awareness and movement expression, Teaching and learning methods in the art of acting, Theories and history of pedagogy, Media and interdisciplinary project work, Basics of cultural management, Adult education and counseling, and more are part of the curriculum. Candidates must have a university entrance qualification or outstanding artistic ability, and practical experience (practical internship) of a total of six weeks in a field of work relevant to theater education.
