The Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “Master of Science in Biology – From Molecules to Organisms”, which begins in the winter semester and lasts for 4 semesters. The entire course is taught in German and English language. This postgraduate degree is an ideal option for candidates who wish to undertake a professional field in universities as well as in botanical gardens after the completion of their studies. After completing the first semester of this Master's degree, the second semester focuses on one of three primary areas: general biology, evolution, behavior and ecology or cell and molecular biology. It is in the third semester, in preparation for their Master's thesis, that students get greater experience in both methodological and experimental research, as well as writing a literary thesis.
