The degree program “Biology – Teaching at Lower Secondary and Secondary Modern Schools” Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Education degree is provided by the Osnabrueck University for 6 (Bachelor) and 4 (Master) semesters, respectively. Official languages of teaching for this program include German and English. Every winter semester, students begin their studies with a Bachelor's degree, followed by a Master's degree. In order to become a secondary school teacher, students must get a Master's degree in Education. As a requirement for this program students must possess general university entrance qualification for the Bachelor’s degree and for the Master’s program candidates are supposed to have completed a Bachelor’s degree in the course “Education, Upbringing and Teaching”.
