Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics”, which commences in the winter semester; classes are held in the German and partly English language. In the Business Informatics program, students learn about an emerging field that sits in between business and IT. To do this, business informatics professionals collaborate with users and programmers to create information systems that can adapt to changing business issues. These subjects integrate academic knowledge with real-world applications. Six semesters are the normal length of study for the Bachelor's degree, which is designed for full-time study with 180 credits. Students can earn a postgraduate degree in Business Informatics after finishing their Bachelor's degree. According to their inclinations, candidates can also start their careers straight in business consultancy, project management, IT controlling, system analysis, strategic corporate development, or in information and communication systems development.
