Osnabrueck University provides the two-subject Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Catholic Theology in German language of instruction. Students examine the relationship between Christian belief in God and people's thinking, living and acting in history and in the present via a critical-argumentative lens throughout the course of study. Students learn biblical-historical and systematic theological skills as well as pragmatist and practical-theological ones. As a major and minor topic, Catholic theology must be paired with another. Religious socialisation, upbringing, and education, religious growth in the second half of life, and chosen areas of didactic religion are the subject of research. This undergraduate degree is taken up for 3 years with the academic calendar commencing in the winter semester.
