Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “Chemistry – Teaching at Grammar Schools”, which beings in the winter semester. During the course of study aspiring students will study a wide range of ways for synthesizing new compounds from the elements or by transforming one material into another. In addition, the course focuses on the discovery of novel synthetic compounds or substances separated from natural sources by using various physical or chemical methods. At a later point in the curriculum, mechanistic investigations or examinations of the many characteristics of the compounds are conducted. The course is divided into stages and the entire course is taught in German language.
