Osnabrueck University provides the 3-year full-time and 5-year part-time course “Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy” in German language. The academic calendar begins in the winter semester. Behavioural therapy for children and adolescents is taught in a way that is both theoretical and practical, based on scientific evidence. The theory and practise are closely intertwined in the continuing education courses. Besides working independently in a child and adolescent psychotherapy practise, additional options include implementing psychotherapy on one's own or advising other professional groups in advisory and therapeutic work areas. There are a few prerequisites for this program including a psychology degree or diploma and an education or social pedagogy degree.
