The degree program “Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science” can be undertaken at the Osnabrueck University for 3 years; studies begin in the winter semester. The course is taught in the German and English language. A primary goal of cognitive science is to study cognitive abilities such as perception, reasoning and planning as well as language acquisition and performance. Despite its youth, in the Cognitive Science, the brain and mind are studied experimentally and theoretically. Also included are explanations of human language and non-verbal behavior, the creation of artificially intelligent systems, and the study of perception, motor abilities, and cognitive. According to their specialty, cognitive science graduates can pursue study in the IT environment or in fields like psychology, philosophy, neurosciences, and languages in the future.
