Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “Master of Sciene in Cognitive Science”, which begins in the winter and summer semester. The normal duration of this degree is 2 years and skills such as thinking, planning, learning and speaking are enhanced throughout the curriculum. The entire course is offered in English language. The course focuses largely on the scientific study of the brain and mind, both theoretically and empirically. In addition, it is concerned with the explanation of human language and non-verbal behavior, the creation of artificial intelligent systems, and the study of perception and motor abilities. Graduates in cognitive science can pursue a career in computer science, psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, or linguistics as well as a career in computer science. In addition, graduates are well prepared to use cognitive science results in the fields of human-machine interaction, the IT industry, and sub-areas of the medical-clinical environment and psychology, among others.
