The two-subject program “Bachelor of Arts in Educational Science” can be undertaken at the Osnabrueck University for 3 years. The course is aimed at students who wish to take up responsibilities in areas such as museums, youth and district centres or in municipalities. Children, adolescents, and adults are studied through the lens of educational science, which focuses on their upbringing, schooling, and learning and socialisation. Subject areas such as gender, socioeconomic condition, ethnic origin, school theory and school growth, parenting, educational and socialisation theories, and early life are studied throughout the curriculum. Educational science is provided as a core course and must be taken in conjunction with another course. Two-year bachelor's degrees in educational science prepare graduates for careers in education.
