Osnabrueck University offers the two-subject Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Environmental Systems Science” for a duration of 3 years in the German language. Winter semester kicks off the academic calendar and the coursework includes study of topics such as climate change, environmental pollution, and exotic animal invasions. Human-environment systems are also studied in this degree program. Students examine issues such as pollution of water, soil or air as well as the resulting dangers on a local or global scale, as well as novel methods to environmental and resource preservation. Studies are strongly tied to the research topic of the supervising research centre, where study projects and the bachelor thesis are also produced. Environmental systems science is a core subject that must be paired with another subject in order to be taken.
