The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in European Studies” is provided for 3 years in German and English language at Osnabrueck University. Basic understanding of empirical social research methodologies and political science sub-disciplines is taught in this multidisciplinary course. Student understanding of political, economic and social change processes inside the European Union, as well as Europe's position in the world system, will be deepened from their second year of study onwards. The academic calendar begins with the winter semester. Many optional courses are available for students to choose from, allowing them to specialise in a particular area of study. There is a mandatory internship as well as the option of studying abroad.
