Osnabrueck University offers the degree program “French – Teaching at Grammar Schools", which begins in the winter semester. The course is entirely taught in French language. A major concentration of research and teaching has been on French from Renaissance times, with a special focus on 20th-century French literature and culture. After completing the bachelor's degree, students move on to the master's degree program. Applicants receive 63 credit points for the core subject and by the end of their studies they can work as a teacher at grammar schools.
