Description
The degree program “French – Teaching at Lower Secondary and Secondary Modern Schools” at Osnabrueck University begins in the winter semester and deals with the language, literature and the cultures of the Romance-speaking countries. Concentration of research and teaching is on the French languages, cultures, and literatures since the Renaissance, with a special focus on the 20th century and today's literatures and cultures. Students begin with a Bachelor's degree, then move on to a Master's. After graduating, students might take up a teaching position in a secondary institution. To be declared proficient in French, students must have completed at least five years of French classes, earning an average of at least 8 points in the advanced class and at least 11 points in basic class at the upper secondary level.
