For a period of 6 semesters candidates can study the two-subject degree program “Bachelor of Arts in German Studies/German” at the Osnabrueck University where the studies begin in the winter semester. The language of instruction is German and the course is divided into areas of literature and language. In this course, students will learn about German literature from the Middle Ages to the Early Modern Period as well as genre theory and children's and youth literature. Candidates will also learn about German grammatical structures, spelling, first and second language acquisition, as well as mediaeval. A graduate's job options include working in adult education or journalism or public relations or documentation; managing culture or education; or working for non-profits.
